Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be heavy rains on 1st and 2nd December in one or two places of coastal Tamil Nadu.
S Balachandran director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre of the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai said: A low pressure area has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean. It is very likely to concentrate into a depression during the next 24hours. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from 1 December. In the next 24 hours, sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light rain is likely to occur in some areas. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be cloudy. Light showers and thunder showers are expected in some parts of Chennai. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 31 degrees and 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
