As cyclone Nada weakens after depression over southwest Bay of Bengal and crossed Nagapattinam, another cyclone is expected to be formed on December 4 at the South Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Area Cyclone Warning Centre Director, S Balachandran while speaking said: Cyclone Nada weakened after depression over southwest Bay of Bengal and crossed Nagapattinam yesterday morning between 4 am and 5 pm. This has weakened into deep depression and is lying in Tamil Nadu. Due to this, there will be sporadic rains for the next 24 hours in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Heavy downpour is expected in one or two places of North Tamil Nadu. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be cloudy and there will light showers in some parts of the city.
The storm called Vardha will take shape as a low-pressure area around the Andaman and Nicobar islands as early as this Sunday and duly gathering in strength. It is shown as acquiring cyclonic strength over East-Central Bay of Bengal and moving in a west-northwest direction toward the Andhra Pradesh coast.
