20 Lakhs people have downloaded an app in the last three days

MobiKwik Lite which offers online recharge services in India has a overwhelming response. Accordingly in the last two days 20 Lakhs people have downloaded this app. MobiKwik Lite is less than 1 mb in size can be downloaded directly by any shopkeeper or retailer by giving a missed call to 80971-80971 from any Android smartphone, even without an email id and without having a Google Play Store account. After giving a missed call to this number, users will receive a link to download the application.
After demonetization of Rs 1000 and 500 notes, large number of people has started using mobile wallet services like Paytm, MobiKwik and Freecharge services. Majority of the apps which has more memory can be used only in costly smartphones. Keeping this in mind MobiKwik Lite has been introduced. Bank transfers are also free for all MobiKwik Lite users till March 31, 2017. MobiKwik Lite is available in Hindi and English languages and other Indian languages are being launched shortly.
