Worst weather conditions: Flight services in Chennai affected

There is heavy downpour in Chennai due to cyclone Vardah. The very severe cyclonic storm Vardah is now located 100-120 km east of Chennai. It is likely to make a landfall between 2.30pm and 5.30 pm today. In between there is heavy rain from midnight . In view of this operations at Chennai airport have been affected due to Vardah with 25 flights being diverted and nine incoming flights delayed.
