The government is taking several measures to eradicate the use of plastic cards and point of sales machines, and hence is eyeing on Aadhar Payment app. As per latest reports, this app will be launched tomorrow, the 25th December to bring forth a cashless society and to eliminate fee payments imposed by card companies. This will make it affordable to make digital payment solutions to merchants abiding in rural areas.
The need to pay with payment machines will be introduced with the new app, thus enabling cashless transactions. The merchant would only have an Android smartphone for running such cashless business.
Furthermore, the Aadhar Cashless merchant app will be required and this should be connected to biometric reader which is priced Rs 2000.
The customer should feed this on his or her Aadhar number into the app and choose the bank to make transaction. By making use of scanner to identify customer and authenticate transaction, it will be then easy to do the transaction. The need for one time password, PIN, and others in case of plastic or digital transaction will thus get eliminated.
