Meanwhile, the central government has been encouraging electronic transaction of money in the form of cashless transaction. The government has been initiating various measures in this direction. The government has also announced incentives such as prizes for digital transactions.
In this scenario, electronic exchange of money is being introduced in the sale/purchase of the LPG cooking gas cylinder. The customer need not pay hard cash while the LPG cooking gas cylinder is delivered in his/her house.
The buyer can use debit or credit cards.The delivery staff will bring the swiping device for this purpose.
With this arrangement, the LPG cooking gas cylinder can be bought without paying hard cash.
Indian Oil Corporation has decided to introduce this facility from 1st January 2017.
