Rains expected today in southern coastal areas

A trough of low at mean sea level lies over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Sri Lanka & equatorial Indian Ocean. In view of this, rains are expected along the coastal southern regions in the next 24 hours. The weather will be dry in other places of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperature will be 30 degrees and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
