The NASA space research centre has informed that a comet will pass very near the planet Earth at the start of the New Year.

NASA scientists informed that the comet, named C/2016 U1 Neowise, will pass very near the planet Earth during the 1st week of January 2017. This comet was identified through the telescope Neowise.

NASA had sent the telescope Neowise to research on the travel path of the meteors and comets. As per the data from Neowise, it is discovered that a comet is set to pass very near the planet Earth in the 1st week of January.

NASA scientists have informed that this comet is very bright and can be seen through binoculars.

As the comet is set to pass via the planet Mercury, which is the nearest planet to Earth, NASA scientists have informed there is no harm expected from this comet.
