The mobile app for Haj Committee of India got launched by the Union Minister of State of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. All the information about Haj will be at the fingertips of the mobile app users. Application for Haj, getting relevant information regarding the pilgrim, updates and latest information, payments, etc will all be possible via the app, the minister says.
One can download the app from Google PlayStore. The centre has been promoting making online applications to make sure that there are fair opportunities for pilgrimage with maximum comfort and ease. This is going to be for the first time to make the application process for Hajj online, says Naqvi.
The primary features of the app will be to send Hajj applications, make enquiry, receive updates, etc. Under the group option, five adults and two infants are allowed. The applicant will receive the PDF copy of the form to his or her mail. At the same time, printout copies of the documents should be sent to the Haj committee after making online application.
To note, the new trilingual website for Haj was launched by the ministry last month. There were 54,843 applicants out of which 11 percent were from across the country.
