Facebook to allow location tracking

WhatsApp has been continuously making updates to increase features of its messaging platform. The latest ones include GIF support, video calling, quicker forwarding options. Now is the turn for new option onto group chat.
According to WhatsApp leak expert WABeatInfo, recall and re-edit options are getting included in the app. The latest information from them state that Live Location tracking is the hot and happening addition on the messaging platform. Beta users do not have this feature as of now, but it is kept hidden on the Android application.
It requires a configuration file for installation. Users can install it at their own discretion. This feature called the Live Location is currently being built and aims at showing your location to other group members on WhatsApp only for specific time period or indefinitely, as per your preference.
For this, one needs to activate Share your Location option. There is an option called Show My Friends with which you can track your friends in real-time.
You can allow this location tracker for specific time period like 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes or indefinitely. As you can see, there is an option called Show My Friends where there are three dots. You can access this using the three dots seen here.
The need for such location tracking is still unknown. Official announcement from WhatsApp in this regard is awaited.
