The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will create a record by launching PSLVC-37 along with 104 satellites on Wednesday.
Indian Space Research Organization is manufacturing satellites as well as launching rockets such as PSLV and GSLV. Through these rockets ISRO is launching indigenously manufactured satellites as well as foreign manufactured satellites.
Between the period 1994 and 2016, ISRO has launched 121 satellites into space from various rockets. Out of this 121, 79 foreign satellites belonged to 51 firms from 21 countries and the remaining 42 satellites belonged to India.
The Indian Space Research Organization scientists will be launching 104 satellites from a single rocket on Wednesday. 103 satellites weighing 664 kilos belonging to Israel, Kazakhstan, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and United States of America (USA) are to be launched. 714 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation will also be launched along with 103 satellites.
In these 96 nanosatellites belongs to USA. The satellites brought from foreign countries are being closely examined and are also being fitted in the rockets.
Dr. K. Sivan, Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre while speaking said: As far as ISRO is concerned, every rocket is very important to them. In that way, PSLV C-37 is being launched with 104 satellites on Wednesday at 9.28 am. Most of the satellites fitted in the rocket belong to nano categories. It is a challenging job to station all the satellites in the same orbit. `XL` version of PSLV equipped with six strap-ons will be used for the mission. This is the first time that so many of the satellites are being launched.
