Following the launch of ambitious Nivaran facility for taxpayers’ online redressal, it is now the turn for the Income Tax Department to open windows at 60 special offices throughout the country.
Very soon, this facility will get launched at more than a hundred special tax offices named the Aaykar Sampark Kendras due to delay in operalization at some centers because of infrastructure issues.
Any IT-related grievance with taxpayers can be filed with e-nivaran link of e-filing portal of the department. Alternatively, one can approach the ASK and file a complaint. A one-page form has to be filled which will then be assigned with a unique number for following the case progress.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes had launched e-nivaran last year. This CBDT is the body of Income Tax Department that decides on policy making.
Grievances related to refund delay, filing of e-return, Tax deducted at source, complaints about Assessing Officer, PAN issues, etc can be complained here. At the time of launch of e-nivaran last year, it was stated that e-nivaran will also be made available at ASKs for taxpayers who do not use the internet.
