Anna University conducts TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) on behalf of the State government of Tamil Nadu. Based on the marks obtained in TANCET, the candidates can join the high-end courses offered by the University departments, University Engineering Colleges, Anna University regional Complexes.
Qualifications:
For joining the MBA course, the candidates must have passed the graduate course with a minimum of 50 percent marks in any recognized university.
For MCA course, the candidates must be graduates with Mathematics with a minimum of 50 percent marks.
For M.E. and M. Tech. Courses, the candidates must be graduates in any faculty of engineering with a minimum of 50 percent marks.
For the candidates belonging to reservation quota, the minimum mark is 45 percent.
The students who are studying in the final year currently are also eligible to apply to write this test.
The examination
For M. E., M. Tech., M. Arch., and M. Plan. Courses, there is a separate test TANCET.
For candidates joining MBA and MCA courses, there is a different TANCET test.
There are 3 categories of TANCET examinations conducted.
For MBA Mathematics, Commerce, and English Language skills will be tested.
For MCA course, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning, Logical reasoning, and Computer awareness will be tested.
For M. E., M. Tech., M. Arc., and M. Plan. Courses, Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering and Science, and subjected-related questions will be asked.The wrong answer will mean the deduction of marks in the ratio 1/3.
