In the first decade of smartphones, mobile brands Samsung, Apple and HTC have topped as the most successful ones in India, says Mobile Industry Consumer Insight (MICI) Report by CyberMedia Research. The notable factors that have positioned these brands atop are technological innovations, topnotch design, and branding. The other top recalled brands are Sony, BlackBerry and Lenovo, the report adds. In metro cities including New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai, a detailed study on premium smartphone users of the age between 26 and 45 was done.
Apalak Ghosh, the Principal Analyst of Industry Consulting Group, CMR shared the findings of the research where he stated that the Indian market has got many new mobile makers of which only select players have flourished in the competitive sector. The minds of Indian customers have constantly evolved. They are discerning and demanding while buying new mobile phones.
When the customers were inquired about mobile brands, nearly 97 percent of respondents uttered Samsung. The Apple and HTC brands secured 85 percent and 78 percent respectively.
It was reliability and dependability and industry leadership that ranked Samsung on top of success list. For its cutting-edge design and look, Apple gets ranked as the brand of utmost innovation. Likewise, it is the innovativeness of HTC and up-to-date technology and look that has taken it to such great heights.
