UPSC civil services preliminary examination advanced to June 18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts civil service examination for the posts such as IAS and IPS.
The civil services examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages - preliminary, main and interview.
The preliminary tests for 2014, 2015 and 2016 were held during the month of August.
Now UPSC has decided to conduct the preliminary examinations during the month of June. Accordingly the examination will be held on 18th June. The notification was issued by UPSC yesterday.
The last date for receiving the applications for the preliminary test is March 17, 2017 till 6 PM.
