Career guidance counselling program for class 10 and 12 students

On 6th and 7th of April 2017, a career guidance counselling program for class 10 and 12 students will be conducted, announces K.A. Sengottayan, the School Education Minister. The school education department will conduct the program in 541 places across the state.
 
Counselling on varied topics including job opportunities in public sector, higher education options, etc and enlightenment about competitive exams will be covered during the event. Briefing about medical and engineering courses will also be given, he added while wishing the class 12 students the best of luck for taking up board exams for this year.
 
With the help of NGOs and private companies, the department will offer food and water to all student attendees at the counselling. To questions raised about outdated syllabus for higher secondary students in the state, he pointed that the government is considering the regard and that announcements will soon be given in another one week.
 
When asked whether Tamil Nadu will be exempted from NEET exam, he said he can only answer to the question after discussing with Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami who has come back from New Delhi on Tuesday.
