2.8 Lakh Job Opportunities in the Central Government

As presented during this years budget, the central government has decided the fresh employment of 2.80 Lakh people.
After the demonetization phase, additional staff is required in various central departments such as Income Tax Department.
So, the central government has decided to appoint an additional 46000 to 80000 personnel in various central departments including Customs Tax, Income tax, and Kalal Tax.
Currently, 50600 people are employed in the Customs Tax Department and 91700 are employed in the Kalal Tax Department.
Further, a staff of 41000 will be required for the Department of GST (Goods and Services Tax) shortly to be established.
In the budget presentation, the central government had informed that it would not change the current strength of the Railway Employees till 2018.
At the same time, the central government has planned to increase the number of employees in other departments such as Space Research, Atomic Energy, the Secretariat of the central ministry, Ministry of broadcasting and Media, and the External Affairs Ministry.
