The introduction of low priced 4g network services by Jio has bothered the other network operators in India. This has forced all of them to provide unlimited data offerings at drastically lower rates.
Following Idea and Vodafone, here is Airtel with its announcement about slashed rate 4g offerings. Accordingly, 4GB 4G data per day with unlimited voice calling to Airtel or any network is priced Rs 349 as a monthly package. Out of this 1GB limit, half of it is available only during day time and the remaining half during unearthly hours – 3am and 5am.
Coming on to Jio offers, for Jio prime, until 31st March 2018, one can continue enjoying unlimited data at the limit 1GB per day and the monthly rate is Rs 303 per month. And for those who need 2GB per day for a month, the package is Rs 499 per month.
Comparing Airtel and Jio, Airtel offers its data plans to all its customers, whereas Jio has its offers open only to Jio Prime users.
An entry fee of Rs 99 is required to convert into a Prime customer. Jio Prime is valid for Jio users only.
