Aadhar Card is compulsory for the women under the category of below poverty line to get a free connection of LPG cooking Gas connection under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ujjwala Yojana Scheme. This scheme was introduced last year.
In this situation, as per the latest press report from the Central Ministry of Petroleum and Cooking Gas, it is mentioned that Aadhar card is required for getting a free connection of LPG cooking gas under the Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana Scheme even for the women living in the category of below poverty line. So, all applicants without Aadhar card need to apply for the same immediately.
The women who show the receipt for having applied for Aadhar card and obtain fee LPG cooking gas connection.
The customers getting free LPG cooking gas connection must attach any one of the following proofs: Bank savings account passbook with a photograph, Voters ID card, Ration Card, PAN card/number, Driver`s Licence, Kisan passbook photo copy or a photograph attested by a gazetted Officer.
This report mentioned that in order to avoid showing several proofs of identity, this new procedure using Aadhar card will necessitate only one card - Aadhar card.
