Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to thermal convection

An official from the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that the cyclic effect in the upper layer over the coastal area near Lakhdivs and neighbourhood has weakened.
In this situation, thermal conventions may occur in a few places leading to the prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 24 hours.
The Chennai Metro city will remain cloudy.
