Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy inaugurated the scheme for building concrete houses for those who do not own houses in the Panchayat areas.
The state government of Tamil Nadu, closely following the guidance given by the late former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, has been implementing the scheme of building concrete houses for those living in Panchayat areas who do not own a house. This is done with the funding help from the central and the state governments.
As per this scheme, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy inaugurated the scheme for the financial year 2016-17 to build concrete houses for 50170 beneficiaries living in Panchayat areas with the cost per house of Rs. 3.15 lakhs for a total of Rs. 1580 crores and 36 lakhs. The inauguration was conducted at the Chief Secretariat yesterday (Thursday, 9th March).
As a token of the inauguration, 5 beneficiaries were handed over the authoritative order for the construction of the concrete houses.
