The Chennai Corporation Commissioner T. Karthikeyan has announced that the voters who have recently registered to be included for the first time can get their colour voter card from the various e-service centres.

The task of correcting the voters list by adopting the simpler and faster procedure was undertaken on 1st January as the qualifying date. This task has now been completed and a final list of voters was released on 5th January.
The details including names of 82666 new voters have now been added in the voters list. These individuals can get their new colour voter IDs free from the government e-service centres.
The candidates who have not received their password can get the password details from the office of the Chennai Corporation (Regions 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 9.10, and 13) and then get their Voter ID card free by showing any photographed ID proof.
Those who have already registered in the voters` list can pay a fee of Rs. 25/- and get their new voter ID cards.
