Idea cellular offers 4G data services at the price of 2G

Information is gathered that one of the leading telecom company in India, Idea Cellular is set to offer the same charges for its customers who recharge for more than 1 GB data, the service charges for using 2G, 3G, and 4G will also be the same rate.
In a press release by Idea, the rates for the customers who recharge for more than 1 GB data will be charged the same rate for 2G, 3G, and 4G services from 31st March.
Presently, each network (2G, 3G and 4G) is charged at different rates. In this scenario, in order to encounter the competition from other competitors such as Reliance Jio, Idea has come with the offer of charging the same rate for 4G services as for the 2G services.
Idea network charges Rs. 170 for 2 GB 2G data. It charges Rs. 123 for 4G data.
It is worth noting that earlier, Ideas data charges were based on the download speed.
