To be healthier and happy this summer, here have some simple do’s and don’ts.
Choosy with food
Summer brings with it the increased likeliness of food poisoning or food bore illness. If you want to prevent from these diseases, eat only home cooked food. While you have a healthy option, what is the need for relying on street food?
You may also replace outside foods with fresh fruits and veggies. Summer is the time for salads – try having them every day. This also helps in increasing water intake. Consuming juice is yet another interesting option you have.
Plenty of water
To stay fit and healthy and active, you should drink enough water. Make it a practice to hydrate your body at regular time intervals. Carry a bottle full of water wherever you go. Be free from diseases and keep your body healthy and fit.
Even while sending your children out for playing, hand over a bottle full of fresh drinking water so that they don’t drink unhygienic water at times of thirst.
Bath twice a day
Feel fresh with two showers in a day. Especially, if you commute in bus or train or in the hectic roads on motorbikes, you may choose to take bath two times in a day. By doing so, you can keep diseases at bay in addition to feeling fresh and having glowing skin.
Sunscreen
Prevent your skin from getting tanned. Applying sunscreen is a good choice to go with while heading out. It is important that you apply sunscreen on all the body parts that get exposed to sunrays. Applying only on face will not be sufficient.
Thin, light shaded clothes
During summer days, wear thin and light shaded clothes. Do not wear black clothes. Temporarily, bid adieu to leather, satin or other discomforting fabrics. Cotton clothes are largely welcomed during summer as they offer excellent comfort and ease.
What not to do during summer?
No fast food or sugary sodas
When the hot sun is irritating your skin and leaves you longing for something chill, go with tender coconut water and not any aerated drink or sodas. Water will satiate your thirst whereas sodas will increase your craving for more.
Cautious about eating leftover food
During summer, food poisoning is very common. The main reason for this is eating stale food. The food gets spoiled quicker during summer than during winter. Eating very old food d is not recommended during summer.
Avoid drinking water from roadside vendors, as it will be prone to contamination. Going out in the noon time is not recommended too.
