Traffic Modifications in Raja Muthiah Salai from September 15 due to Metro work

Execution of underground station construction work on RajaMuthiahSalai in between PLC point (EVR Salai - Raja Muthaiah Salai Jn) and Vepery High Road, the following traffic modifications will be implemented for three days on trial basis with effect from September 15, 6 am onwards.
Commercial vehicles and MTC Busses coming from Vepery High Road and intending to go to Chennai Central will have to take a route via Vepery High Road - Choolai Roundabout - Demellows point - Elephant gate bridge - Wall tax Road - EVR Salai to reach their destinations.
Light vehicles and two wheelers from Vepery High Road and Choolai may use Alli Kulam Road to reach Chennai Central.Other vehicles including MTC buses, coming from Choolai and intending to go to Egmore will have to take a route via Vepery High Road - EVK Sampath Salai - EVR Salai to reach their destinations.
Vehicles coming from Choolai and intending to go to Chennai Central will have to take a route via Choolai Roundabout - Demellows point - Elephant gate bridge - Wall tax Road - EVR Salai to reach their destinations.
The vehicle movement on both directions on EVR Salai will remain as usual.
