Withdraw the Summer Surprise offer, orders TRAI to the Reliance Jio Infocomm. Under this offer, Reliance Jio offered 3 months of free services for customers who paid the initial fee by 15th April.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India indulged in a meeting with the Jio officials on Thursday. Following this, the TRAI has come up this order to Jio that brings a heave of sigh among other telecom players Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone India. They have been under struggle due to the successive offers introduced by Reliance Jio. This new development is believed to help other players in restoring pricing rationality.
In its order, TRAI has ordered Jio to withdraw its 3 months Summer Surprise offer. Further, the Jio Company has said that it has accepted the decision. The users will have to subscribe for the previously announced plans on monthly basis.
Jio completely complies with the orders to withdraw the 3 months Summer Surprise offer soon in the next few days. According to reliable sources, it is said that the offer will be shut down in another 24 to 48 hours.
According to Jio statement, all those who have subscribed for the Jios latest plan before discontinuation will continue to be eligible for the offer.
