When are the summer rains scheduled?

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre informed that the intensity of heat will become more than normal in the next 24 hours.
The intensity of heat will be higher in the next 2 to 3 days. A maximum temperature of 40 Degrees Celsius has been recorded in Vellore, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Trichy, and other cities.
Due to the expected formation of thermal convection, there are prospects of rain in 1 or 2 places. The summer rains may be expected in May.
A depression has recently formed over the Southeast Bay of Bengal.
