A written test was conducted by the Tamil Nadu Government examination board on behalf of the department of education during May 2015 in order to fill up the vacancies of 4362 posts of school laboratory assistants throughout the state of Tamil Nadu.
Around 8 Lakh candidates wrote this examination. The results of this written test were released during March 2017. The results were uploaded on the internet to facilitate all the candidates in a table made according to the Name, Registration number, and placement quota.
Following the release of results, the candidates were called for document verifications at the ratio of 5:1 (5 candidates for each vacancy).
After the document verification process, a merit list was prepared based on the marks scored in the written test, weightage marks, and reservation quota.
After this, the list of selected candidates was released in 12 districts including Madurai, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Erode, Kanyakumari, Karur, Namakkal, Preambular, Salem, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Thanjavur, Nilgiri, Theni, Thiruvarur, Tirupur, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Villupuram, and Ariyalur on Saturday (15th April) in the offices of the respective primary education officers.
The director of school education informed that the list of selected candidates in Vellore and Krishnagiri districts would be released today (Tuesday, 18th April).
