Smart cards for school students

The state minister for school education, Mr K.A. Sengottaiyan informed that smart cards with details of name, date of birth, blood group, parent’s name, and Aadhar card number will soon be given to 1.25 Crores students in the state.
An announcement regarding this will be made during the presentation of details of demands for subsidies for the department of school education.
The main objective in the development of students is to make them excel in health, helping others/needy, patriotic, social empathy, etc., apart from the studies.
In view of the above objectives, the syllabus is being revised to include features like teaching yoga, good behaviour, traffic rules, affection and respect for parents, social thoughts.
