The Director of the state school education, Mr. S. Kannappan, informed that the names of the students will be printed in Tamil for the first time in the mark lists to be released for the public examinations conducted for 10th Standard and 12th Standard.

The director had informed that the applications will be received from 24th April for the counselling with teachers. The counselling for the teachers is scheduled to commence on 19th May and will conclude on 31st May.

Presently, the activity of correcting the answer sheets for the 10th standard has been completed. The activity of correcting the answer sheets for +2 examinations will be completed by today (Monday, 24th April). The results of both the public examinations will be released as per the dates already announced.

The activity of preparing the mark certificates is in full swing with the target of distributing the certificates before end May.

Also, for the first time ever, the names of the students in mark lists (10th Standard and 12th Standard) will be printed in Tamil and English.

It has been strictly advised not to conduct any special classes in both government and private schools due to the extreme severity of the summer.

If any complaints are received about violating this, stringent legal actions will be taken on the concerned school.

Under the scheme of free education right for poor children, 2000 applications have been received online.

The applications can also be submitted directly to the schools. The children will be admitted on merit basis.
