State government employees to go on strike from tomorrow

Tamil Nadu state government Employees have announced their decision to go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow (Tuesday, 25th April) insisting on their various demands.

It is expected that over 5 Lakh state government employees in various departments will join this strike.

Further, the employees of mid day meal scheme also have declared indefinite strike from tomorrow.

There are more than 1 Lakh employees in the department of nutrition mid day meal scheme.

The state government employees have been carrying out strikes in several stages – their demands include filling up of the vacant government posts, salary increase, a payment of Rs. 3 Lakhs to the retiring employees, pension increase, etc.

The state government employees have resumed their protest and will go on strike especially against the non-response of the state government to the above demands.

Meanwhile, the nutrition meal scheme employees on their part, have planned to conduct strikes in different forms, Taluk-wise protest on 26th April, Protest in front of the district collector office on 27th and 28th April, and waiting protest on 2nd May.
