The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are good prospects of the temperature touching 111 Degrees Fahrenheit in the interior districts like Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, and Thiruvannamalai.
Presently, the temperature in the interior districts has shot up mainly because of the winds blowing in the Southeast direction. Because of the south-east winds, the usual high humid wind from the Eastern direction did not blow. So, the intensity of heat has shot up. Especially, the ground temperatures have shot up.
If the wind blowing from Southeast abates and the eastern wind starts blowing, the ground surface will get cooler. Also, there are possibilities of clouds gathering leading to rain in a few places.
The officials informed that the temperature might touch 108 Degrees Fahrenheit to 111 Degrees Fahrenheit in Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, and Thiruvannamalai.
