An increase in the honorarium and payments for teachers correcting public exam papers

The state government of Tamil Nadu has ordered an increase in the honorarium and payments for the teachers engaged in examination monitoring, correcting the answer sheets,

 A brief on the press release by the secretary of the department of school education:

The honorarium for the Chief Invigilator engaged in the +2 public examinations is increased from Rs. 115 to Rs. 133. For the departmental officers and departmental additional officers, it is increased from Rs. 80 to Rs. 92. For the persons engaged in keeping the question papers safe, it is increased from Rs. 69 to Rs. 80.

For the Chief Invigilator engaged in SSLC Examinations, it is revised from Rs. 92 to Rs. 106. For the departmental officers and departmental additional officers, it is increased from Rs. 57 to Rs. 66. For the persons engaged in keeping the question papers safe, it is increased from Rs. 46 to Rs. 53.  The honorarium is being revised for all other officials and staff engaged in these activities.

For the teachers engaged in correcting answer sheets for +2 examinations, the payment is revised from Rs. 7.50 per paper to Rs. 10. For the teachers engaged in correcting answer sheets for SSLC examinations, the payment is revised from Rs. 6 per paper to Rs. 8.
