A decision has been taken to conduct the CTET (Center Teachers Eligibility Test) examinations only once a year doing away with the current routine of 2 CTET examinations each year. This test is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
Until now, the central government was conducting CTET twice a year. However, with the demanding schedule of conducting various other examinations such as JEE Main Examination, NEET, etc, the work load has increased manifold and hence a decision was taken by the CBSE to conduct CTET only once a year.
This decision has been conveyed by CBSE to the central ministry of human welfare development.
