The minister for school education, Mr. K. A. Sengottaiyan informed that there is no change in the syllabus for +1 classes.
The minister informed that discussions are being held with the administrators of the teachers` associations in order to find out all the long time demands of the teachers and also to establish how many of these demands can really be met by the government. Administrators and representatives from 64 teachers associations have participated in these discussions. The government is prepared to meet the demands put up by the teachers based on the state financial situation.
Yoga will be introduced in classes from this year. The activities for distribution of smart cards to the students are in full swing and progressing fast. The smart card given to the students will have details such as Aadhar card number, Blood Group, caste, etc.
The state government has also been exploring the possibilities of changing the syllabus in order to prepare the state students for participating in all India tests such as NEET.
There is no change in syllabus for the +1 class this year. The proposed changes in the syllabus will be presented when presenting the subsidy demands for the department of education.
