The state government of Tamil Nadu has presented to the Chennai High Court that it agrees to the proposal to regularize the unapproved plots/ lands in the states.
The additional chief advocate Ayyadurai represented the state government. He informed that some time will be required to devise the new complete regulations to be presented as a full-fledged government order. However, the interim government order will be presented tomorrow (Friday, 5th May).
Accordingly, the interim ban on sales of unapproved plot/lands will continue until tomorrow.
The director of the registration department, Mr. Hansraj presented to the Chennai High Court that 9760 unapproved plots/lands have been registered during the period from 9th September until 28th March 2017.
The Chennai High Court had ordered earlier that no registration should be done during the period from 21st April until 4th May till the new government order is released.
