New India Assurance, the global insurance company has increased the premium for individual insurance by 25 percent.
Speaking about this, the executive director of New India Assurance, Srinivasan said that they are set to bring a uniform scheme throughout India by standardizing the premium amount throughout the country. Accordingly, the individual premium is being increased by 25 percent.
The profit of the insurance company in this fiscal year has increased by 22 percent as compared to last year which is equivalent to Rs 1,008 crore.
This is the maximum profit received after 2014-15. In the last financial year, about 10,000 agents are appointed. In the present financial year, 12,000 agents will be appointed.
