Applications invited for joining diploma course in Carnatic music

An announcement has been released that candidates interested in joining a diploma course in Carnatic music offered by the Chennai Music Academy have to apply before 30th June.
The Chennai Music Academy, located in Alwarpet, Chennai, offers an Advanced diploma course in carnatic music (Vocal). This is a 3-years course. There are 2 semesters every year – July to November and January to June.
The classes for this course are scheduled to from 8.00 AM to 12.30 PM on all weekdays.
The candidates interested in joining this course must have completed studies at least up to +2. The candidates must be in the age group 18-35.The candidates must have the ‘Manodharma Sangeetha Arivu’ (Basic correct analytical approach to Carnatic music) and also should be able to sing krithis.
The interested candidates must apply with their bio-data and the music learning background before 30th June. The applications received will be scrutinized and selected candidates will be called for interview. The successful candidates will be personally intimated. The classes for the advanced diploma course in Carnatic music are scheduled to commence from 19th July.
