FITE fights illegal termination of Cognizant employees

While the IT major Cognizant is maintaining employee exits, the IT sector states that the company is practicing unfair methods for dismissing some of its workforce. About 6000 employees will be laid off and offer voluntary separation package to all its staffers in senior level.
As a move to bring all their grievances open to the people, the FITE (Forum for IT Employees), platform where workers get aided, is approaching the Tamil Nadu Government.
As a move for the involuntary exit of employees, those who believe that Cognizant is practicing unfair methods have gone behind the IT grievances for petitioning the state government.
This regard called as the illegal termination is urged by the state labour commissioner. The FITE is providing helping hands to the employees for litigating against retrenchment. The representations are sent to the state. Conciliation is to be formally filed now. This is the initial step before taking it to labor court, said Vinodh AJ, general secretary of FITE.
