TN to see rainfall activity from Friday/Saturday

As expected rain intensity reduces in Kerala / Tamil Nadu after onset. But up north, Maharashtra Ghats had the first taste of the monsoon rains before onset.
Kindly remember, SW monsoon onset does not mean rains will immediately start in Tamil Nadu. Irrespective of onset or not, Tamil Nadu (most of the areas except Coimbatore Ghats, Nilgiris, Kanyakumari, Theni belts close to western Ghat) being in Leeward Side will get only Convective Rainfall from June - September.
Tamil Nadu to see Rainfall after a lull
The good news is rainfall activity (Convective) is going to be back from Friday / Saturday with increase in activity through Sunday / Monday. Kindly remember, this is not Chennai specific.
