The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain with thunder in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
With a low-pressure zone forming over the Bay of Bengal, the climate was set for heavy rains on 7th, 8th, and 9th June. However, this low pressure weakened subsequently and the prospects of rain subsided.
The centre has informed that there are prospects of rain only in a few places in the next 24 hours due to the formation of thermal convection.
An official from the centre explained that there are prospects of rains with thunder in a few places in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Chennai will remain cloudy. There are prospects of light drizzles in a few places in the city.
