The NEET exam was held on 7th of May. It was earlier announced that the results will be announced on 8th June. This however got delayed because of the stay ordered by the Madras High Court alleging lack of uniformity of question paper.
Following this, the Supreme Court had set aside the order and requested CBSE to announce results on 26th of June.
Over 11,38,80 students have registered for the NEET exam. This includes 1522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 foreigners. The exam was conducted in over 10 languages. And the exam was held at 103 cities in 1921 centres.
As a move to eradicate various other entrance examinations for admitting candidates for undergraduate medical exams like MBBS or BDS, the NEET common entrance exam was introduced in 2013.
