Prospects of rain in a few places due to thermal convection

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu today (Wednesday, 28th June).
While the southwest monsoon rainy season has intensified, it has been raining in several districts, including Kanyakumari, Coimbatore, and Nilgiris. It has been raining infrequently in other parts of Tamil Nadu.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain in Chennai and some other areas because of the recently formed thermal convection phenomenon.
