Maruti cuts down car rates by 3 percent

Maruti has introduced a price cut for all its models by up to 3 percent. This has come into immediate effect; the move is made in order to pass on the GST benefits to all customers.

A company statement reads that all the benefits of GST are transformed to their buyers.

The reduction in rate depends on the VAT rate imposed before GST, says an MSI statement.

On the other hand, Maruti diesel variants like Ciaz and Ertiga that come with smart hybrid technology have seen a price hike. This is because of withdrawal of tax concessions on milk hybrid vehicles as per GST framework. Similar to the other models, the change in price varies from state to state.

Maruti sells various vehicle modes starting from Alto 800 to S-Cross that are rated between Rs 2.46 lakh and Rs 12.03 lakh.
