Southern Railways diverts, cancels trains due to Cyclone Nilam

Southern Railways announced diversion and partial cancellation of trains, especially those passing through coastal districts.

Press Release :

Due to severe cyclonic weather, heavy rainfall and wind along the coastal districts, the following trains leaving o­n 31.10.2012 will be diverted via. chord line from Villupuram, viz. Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur, Tiruchchirappalli.

1)T.No.16735 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchendur Chendur Express

2)T.No.16736 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Chendur Express

3)T.No.16702 Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore Express

4)T.No.16701 Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram Express

5)T.No.16179/16180 Chennai Egmore – Mannargudi – Chennai Egmore Mannai Expresses will be diverted via. Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur and Nidamangalam.

6)T.No.16175/16176 Chennai Egmore – Karaikal – Chennai Egmore Expresses will be diverted via. Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Nidamangalam and Tiruvarur.

          T.No.56877/56878 Villupuram – Mayiladuthurai – Villupuram Passengers are fully cancelled o­n 31.10.2012.

          T.No.56514 Bangalore City – Nagore Passenger has been partially cancelled between Vriddhachalam – Nagore o­n 31.10.2012 and T.No.56513 Nagore – Bangalore City Passenger has been partially cancelled between Nagore – Vriddhachalam o­n 1.11.2012.
