The written examination for the selection of VAO. (Village Administration Officer), conducted by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission), is postponed by a month.
The new recruits to fill up the vacancies in the various department of the Tamil Nadu State Government is done by TNPSC. The written examinations are conducted for the selection/recruitment.
TNPSC releases the annual time schedule for the different examinations meant for the recruitment in various cadres for appointment in different state government departments.
As per this time table, the written examination, for filling up the 494 vacancies for VAO is under the Department of Revenue is to be conducted on 17th September. The official announcement confirming this schedule should have been released during the 1st week of July. However, though 3 weeks have passed after July, the announcement has not been made. When the candidates approached TNPSC seeking clarification, the officials explained that this examination stands postponed.
Actually, TNPSC is yet to receive the complete details from the Tamil Nadu State government regarding vacancies of VAO. in 32 districts. Once this detail is received, TNPSC will release the revised date for this examination.
The officials explained as per the prevailing situation, there are prospects of the announcement of the examination in August and the examination may be scheduled during the last week of October.
