Online booking of train tickets stopped for 2 days

IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) has informed that the train tickets booking and cancelling facility will not be available for 2 days – 23rd and 24th July, as some major technology changes are being implemented on the internet facilitated website.

IRCTC has been organising some special tours such as religious pilgrimage tours like Bharath Darshan. The passengers are taken on a special tour to visit all the famous places of religious significance and the tourist spots.

While booking the train ticket online on the website www.irctc.co.in, food requirement can also be booked. Further, there are many occasions when the passengers need to cancel their booking due to various reasons.

As the up-gradation on the technical front is being carried out on this official website, IRCTC has announced that the facility will not function for 2 days on 23rd and 24th July.

An IRCTC official explained that various activities have been undertaken to convert the Railway Department activities to digital mode. As a part of this, some technology up-gradation has been undertaken on the IRCTC website. Because of this, the facility or train ticket booking will not be available from 6.15 PM on 23rd July to 7.00 AM on 24th July.

The regular activities will resume after this.
