Joining hands with the CAMS Group, the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras will give training to more than 300 micro and marginal women entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu.
Last year, there was a pilot project conducted by IIT-M. After observing success of the project where more than half of the participants had received bank loans for expanding or launching their own business after the program.
This program is set to be conducted in Tamil. It’s a 3-year project and CAMS group will fund the same.
A charitable trust called hand-in-hand India will choose beneficiaries and IIT-M shall prepare the final list. At all entrepreneur’s localities, these trainings are to be conducted.
All the women entrepreneurs will be trained in various business and management areas intending to improve their growth rate and profitability.
