The American President Donald Trump has relaxed the regulations on H1B Visas. Indians are set to derive extra concessions with the new Citizenship Act.

As soon as he assumed office, President Trump made some sudden changes in the H1B Visa regulations. This posed some hardships for the people set to travel to the USA for new jobs.

In this scenario, a new, modified Citizenship Act under Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment (RAISE) has been made. 2 Senators from the Republican Party have proposed this. This has been brought on behalf of President Trump.

As per this proposal, foreigners applying for the US citizenships young and academically well-qualified

He/she should speak fluent English. Points will be allotted to them on this basis and citizenship may be awarded.

It is worth noting that this procedure is adopted and followed in Canada and Australia. Now, this is set to be followed in the USA as well.

In the case that the applicant has passed American High School Diploma or equivalent abroad, 1 point will be awarded. If the candidate is a graduate from abroad, 5 points will be given. In case the candidate has completed graduation in the USA, 6 points will be awarded.

If the candidate has completed post graduation under the STEM category, 7 points will be awarded. If the candidate has completed post graduation in the USA, 13 points will be awarded.

If the candidate has completed Research fellowship or Doctorate abroad, 10 points will be awarded. If the same has been completed in the USA, 13 points will be awarded.

Thousands of Indians visit the USA with the above qualifications on H1B visas. They were put to great hardships due to the earlier regulations.

However, with the changes carried out as above, these Indians will enjoy some concession as the rules have been relaxed.
