If you dont have access to the internet, you may seek common service centre or CSC that function under the state government and register for hassle-free police complaints online.
You need to pay Rs 20 to the State Crime Records Bureau for the same. For a fee of Rs 10, one can check CSR status.

http://eservices.tnpolice.gov.in, services like online complaint registration, FIR and CSR status viewing, FIR viewing or downloading, search for vehicle, search for missing or dead persons, SMS to complainants, sharing road accident case documents, etc are done for free.
One can also access online services through mobile app that was launched in July 2016. You may download app on your Android smartphones from Google PlayStore, or it is also available on official police site.
According to Police Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems, across all the 1,913 police stations and units of Tamil Nadu police that registers FIR, the online project is successfully implemented.
Residents will now be able to easily lodge complaints with just the click of mouse via online complaint registration system.
One can easily view or download the FIR registered free of cost. The facility was started on 15th November 2016.
